The club is managed and controlled by a committee that is elected each year by all of the members. Current committee members are shown below.

Chairman - Helen Shand
The club chairman has overall responsibility for managing the activities of the club.

 

 

 

 

 

Vice Chairman - Joe Crofts
The chairman's deputy.

 

 

 

 

 

Secretary - Paul Mayes
Paul deals with administrative matters for the club.

 

 

 

 

Treasurer - Ken Ward
Ken manages the club's finances and pays the bills.

 

 

 

 

Training Officer - Kingsley Armstrong
Kingsley is responsible for overseeing the training progress of club members.

 

 

 

 

Membership Secretary - Richard Kember
As well as being one of the club's most highly qualified divers, Richard manages the club's membership activities. See if you can catch him working on the Webcam at The Tidemill Yach Harbour.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Diving Officer - Steve White
Steve now has overall responsibility for the safe conduct of diving within the club. As a BSAC Advanced Diver & Open Water Instructor, Steve is one of the club's most experienced members and apparently is also partly responsible for the roof on the new airport in Hong Kong.

 

 

 

Social Secretary - Paul Mayes
Paul organises social activities for us throughout the year.

 

 

 

 

Engineering Officer - Simon Alexander
Simon maintains the club's equipment including our boat and inflatables. One of the clubs most active members he likes to relax by juggling crabs during dives.

 

 

 

 

 

Expeditions Officer - Joe Crofts
Not content with the post of Vice Chairman, Joe is also our expeditions officer. He organises many of our diving trips.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Equipment Officer - Andy Banks
Andy is responsible for the club's supply of diving equipment. If you need to borrow an extra cylinder, buy a pint for Andy.

Hanni represents all the trainee divers at committee meetings

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ordinary Member - Rick Westwood
Rick is known for the energy he puts into his dive, this year he is bringing that energy to the use of the club as a member of the committee.

 

 

 

 

Ordinary Member - Elaine Strutt
As the outgoing Social Secretary, Elaine will make sure that having a fun time is always on the agenda.
